History of the St Mary Chapter
Overview
Ms. Ethlin Douglas, a former member of the Portland Chapter and the Chief Executive Officer, of the St. Mary Municipal Corporation made a recommendation to the National Executive of the necessity to establish a chapter of the Association in the parish of St. Mary. Upon that recommendation, the National Executive along with the St. Ann Chapter executed all plans to establish the St. Mary Chapter
The St. Ann Chapter gave birth to a group of office professionals in the parish of St. Mary. The first meeting of the Grop was held in January 2018. Oversight and guidance were provided by the National Executive in preparation for the Chapter Status.
At the Annual General Meeting of the Association held on October 05, 2018, a resolution was passed whereby the St. Mary Group was given Chapter Status. On Tuesday, December 11, 2018, the St. Mary Chapter was installed at a ceremony held in the Main Conference Room of the Port Maria Civic Center. St. Mary. Nine ladies led by Mrs. Sasha-Gay Sharris-Small and one gentleman were inducted into membership thereby increasing the number of Chapters to six.

Conclusion
The St. Mary Chapter though faced with challenges indicated that with great determination would keep on fighting the good fight and pledged to continue to support the Association. However, as that determination has weakened, the National Executive took on the mandate to rebuild the Chapter and has executed several activities to that effect but has not gotten much support from the original member of the St. Mary Chapter.
However, the National Executive is determined under God to continue to use various strategies to rebuild the Chapter and increase its membership. With that in mind, we appeal to all persons who are willing to offer their help and support to achieve this objective.
